COACHING

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a supportive, conversational approach to recognizing and determining how to address life questions and issues. These issues can revolve around relationships with family or friends, work, religious or spiritual questions, parenting, communication roadblocks, etc.

Coaching differs from Psychotherapy in that the Coach is a catalyst and supportive partner in the process of recognizing all the facets of the given situation, the overlap into other arenas of life (when present), and a guide in determining an appropriate action plan to address the circumstances that are of concern. A Coach plays an integral role in guiding a Client toward more awareness of the situation and of all the potential avenues of understanding and potential resolution.

Issues typically addressed through Coaching involve the following:

  • Quality of Life Improvement

  • Aware Communication

  • Marital Issues

  • Parenting Challenges

  • Behavioral Contracts (with children or spouses)

  • Spiritual Development (Awakening or Stagnation)

  • Workplace Relationship Development

  • Extended Family Issues (reaching agreement on appropriate help for aging family members)
